- EAGLE Court of Honor on Sunday, June 28th to recognize several of our recent Eagle Scouts.
- Sunday, June 28th at East Middle School Braintree. The ceremony starts at 12:15PM but we need help starting at 11AM to set everything up. We will be gone by 3PM.
- Families, we are asking you to help us with food. The Troop will provide CAKE, COFFEE and other beverages. Families who are NOT with the Eagles being honored, we ask you to help us with food, snack food, finger food, non-cake dessert. We are celebrating FIVE Troop 19 Eagles and want to have a big party for them.
- BOTH OF THESE EVENTS are for FAMILIES to attend, see your Scout be recognized and celebrate the accomplishments of their fellow Scouts.
- Scout Sunday 2026 – A Scout is Reverent
- Sacred Heart Church has again invited us to hold our annual Scout Sunday mass at their church.
- Sunday, February 8th at the 9:30AM family mass.
- This is a Class A uniform event.
- ALL ARE WELCOME to attend with us. You do NOT need to be of the Catholic or a Christian faith to attend with us. We host this at Sacred Heart as they were a former sponsor of Troop 19 and still support our activities.
- If you are of a different faith and would like to invite your fellow Scouts and Scouters to attend a “Scout Sunday” type observance at your place of worship, please let the Scoutmaster know!
2026 Council Klondike Derby at Camp Squanto
Saturday, February 7th, 7:30AM-4PM
We will participate in the Klondike Derby to defend our hard earned championship title from the last Klondike.
From the organizers:
Join us for the 2026 Village of the Klondike, an exciting camp-wide adventure where Scouts will travel between themed villages to test their skills, teamwork, and Scout spirit. Throughout the day, each patrol will rotate from village to village, completing hands-on challenges designed to showcase their proficiency in essential outdoor and Scouting skills.
Scouts will begin by checking in with the Village Elder, then set out on their journey across camp. Each village offers a unique challenge—from fire building and rescue skills to orienteering, marksmanship, and pioneering construction. Patrols will earn points based on teamwork, accuracy, completion of tasks, and Scout-like conduct.
Scouts will be responsible for preparing and cooking their own lunch. Lunch will be scheduled , ensuring that each patrol has time to cook, eat, and reset before continuing their village rotations. During these same shifts, patrols will also participate in the Pancake Flipping Competition, giving everyone a chance to compete for the highest successfully flipped pancake.
At the end of the day, patrols will return to the Parade Field for the thrilling Sled Race, where teams will compete head-to-head to determine the Klondike Champions.
We need sign ups in advance for this event! The Troop must register each individual attending in advance.
Our preference is for sign ups BEFORE DECEMBER 31st to secure a discounted registration. You MUST sign up no later than January 16th or you will need to cover the late registration fee yourself.
Troop 19 members can sign up to attend for only $10, the Troop Committee will cover the rest of your cost.
Sign up at Troop meetings or email brianjdamico@gmail.com.
More details about the event will be provided as we receive them. Adults, if interested in volunteering at the event, let us know. We typically volunteer to run 1 of the program stations.
- SWIM NIGHTS?!
- Ryan Hawker has been working hard to schedule a monthly SWIM NIGHT for us year-round. We aim for the 4th Wednesday night of each month. The Connell pool is nice and close to home for many of us however it is NOT AVAILABLE for our use for the next several months due to their busy swim team schedule.
- Ryan is still looking for other options for an indoor pool but if anyone has any suggestions or connections, please reach out to RYAN directly rfhawker@gmail.com
A Scout is thrifty, so we are looking for a no cost or low cost option; the Troop Committee is willing to pay a small per-swimmer fee
