About Troop 19

Troop 19 has a rich history, dating back to 1967, when it was founded by Scoutmaster Jerry Rudolph. Over the years, this troop has been instrumental in shaping the lives of hundreds of boys from the Weymouth & Braintree area. Their experiences have been deeply influenced by the timeless values of Scouting: character, citizenship, and fitness.

An impressive 180 members of Troop 19 have achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle, which stands as the highest accomplishment within Scouts BSA. This achievement reflects their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to the principles of Scouting.

Troop 19 adheres to the tried-and-true methods that define Scouting. These include:

  1. Patrol Method: Encouraging teamwork and self-reliance within smaller groups.
  2. Youth Leadership: Empowering young Scouts to take on leadership roles and responsibilities.
  3. Emphasis on the Outdoors: Fostering a love for nature, adventure, and exploration.

Through these practices, Troop 19 continues to provide a fun and positive Scouting experience, shaping the character and future of its members.
