Volunteer Opportunity on June 8th at Braintree Town Hall
Michelle Maloney, former Assistant Den Leader for Pack 22 is looking for assistance at the Relay for Life event to be held on June 8th at Braintree Town Hall this year. They could use at least 5-6 scouts to assist people unloading their cars and setting up their tables/displays from 10:00am-12:30pm. We had a good number of scouts volunteers last year and we made pretty quick work of it. I’m happy to be one of the adult volunteers.
IF INTERESTED IN HELPING, PLEASE SPEAK TO THE SCOUTMASTER (or email tractor698@aol.com)

February Gym Night – NEXT Wednesday, 2/14 at First Church
Bring a friend!
Gym Night is a great opportunity to complete FITNESS advancement requirements, which many of you need to do. We may be able to work on other advancement items at Gym Nights if you ask in advance.
Troop Committee Members – There is a chance that certain Scouts would be ready for a Board of Review during Gym Night this month, if we had at least 3 of you present, we could help our Scouts advance.
Klondike Derby Training Day – Saturday, January 27th
We will again host a day of training and preparation for the Klondike. We will invite local Webelos/AOL dens to join us and learn skills for the Klondike from our Scouts.

Scout Sunday – February 4th
ALL are welcome to join us for this, you do not need to be Catholic or a member of this parish to attend with us. While Sacred Heart is no longer our charter organization, they still support us, especially by allowing us to sell Christmas wreaths in their parking lot.
The 11:30 AM mass at Sacred Heart in the Landing. Class A uniforms. We will sit together.
Klondike Derby February 10
Klondike Derby – We are participating in the council Klondike this year on Saturday, February 10th at Camp Squanto
We will compete in patrol size groups against other Troops in our council!
The early signup deadline has passed. You CAN still sign up but the fees have increased to $30 for Scouts and $17 for adults. We did not set the registration fee.
If you wish to purchase a Klondike Derby hat, those are an additional $15. ADULTS will not receive an event patch unless ordered for an additional $5 (Scouts WILL receive one as part of their sign up fee)
MEDICAL FORMS – This event will use an electronic system called CampDoc to collect the required BSA medical information. After we register the Troop to attend, you (adults and parents of Scouts) will receive an email from the CampDoc system to set up a profile for each attendee. You MUST complete this before the event and should do so ASAP. Failure to complete this will result in you being turned away at the event.
If you are attending, you must also complete the Mayflower Council consent/talent release form like we’ve had to complete for similar events in the past.
We have committed to supporting the “Camp Squanto Appreciation Day” on 4/29.
Jim and Brian will be heading to Squanto that morning and we can use both SCOUT and ADULT help! There is plenty of work for Scouts to do and we have been asked to help with some tasks that will require adults to perform specific tasks including operating a log splitter.
Lunch will be provided.
There’s no cost to attend but we are taking sign ups starting this week so we know how many people to expect.
